What you are taking on when you trade with automated software.
BJF Trading Group Inc. is a software developer. We are not a broker, a financial institution or an investment adviser. We do not execute trades, manage accounts or hold client funds, and nothing we publish is financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
No product we sell promises a profit, and none should be understood to imply one. Trading is risky. Read this page before you buy.
Trading foreign exchange, cryptocurrencies and CFDs carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for every investor. Leverage works in both directions: it magnifies gains and it magnifies losses, and depending on your broker and your instrument you may lose more than the amount you deposited.
Before you trade, consider your investment objectives, your level of experience and your appetite for risk. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Any historical result, backtest, screenshot or example you see anywhere — on our site, in our documentation, or from a third party — describes what happened in the past under particular conditions. It is not a forecast.
Hypothetical and backtested performance has inherent limitations. Simulated results are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, involve no financial risk, and cannot account for the effect of real money on decision-making, for slippage and requotes, or for the market conditions of the day. There are frequently sharp differences between simulated results and the results actually achieved. No representation is made that any account will, or is likely to, achieve results similar to those shown.
Automated systems act on rules. They do not exercise judgement, and they do not understand context.
Test on a demonstration account first — before going live, and again after every update, configuration change, broker change or server change. This is a condition of use under Section 9 of the End User License Agreement, and the free 15-day trial exists so that it costs you nothing.
Arbitrage software looks for a difference between prices. Finding one is not the same as capturing it.
We are not responsible for decisions you make on the basis of information the software presents.
You are solely responsible for confirming that your broker permits the strategies our software employs. Brokers apply very different policies to arbitrage, high-frequency, news-based and latency-sensitive trading. Read your broker’s terms before you start.
Failure to comply with them can lead to requoting, execution restrictions, profit reversal, account suspension or account closure. BJF is not liable for any action a broker takes against you, or for any loss arising from non-compliance with a broker’s policies, and that is not a fault in the software.
We do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted access to our software, to activation servers, or to any third-party feed or service the software depends on. The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, as set out in Section 11 of the End User License Agreement.
You are an independent, self-directed trader. You alone decide whether a strategy suits you, which settings to use, and when to trade. We cannot and do not advise on the nature, risk or suitability of any trade, transaction, instrument or strategy, and no fiduciary relationship arises between us because you bought software from us.
We do not accept customers resident in, or purchasing from, certain jurisdictions. The current list is in Section 3 of the Terms of Sale.
Every product comes with a free 15-day trial. Run it on a demonstration account and see for yourself.
This Risk Disclosure supplements the Terms of Sale and the End User License Agreement. Where it and those documents differ on the same point, those documents govern.
